Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance

I got Spook as a pup in the fall of '84.

... I was then hooked on Australian Shepherds

Spook never trialed---was a farm/chore dog

with a very limited command vocabulary.
But he knew what I wanted and what needed to be done.

He left an impression on many people that came to the place and seen him work.

He was an infielder/outfielder for my son...

...guardian of the family and home.
Most of all he was my best friend,
I could always count on.
Gibbons Red Spook
1984-1999

I do a lot of grazing outside the boudaries of fences, almost everyday.
Open the pasture gate and ....away we go
...along the road, waterways in fields, crick bottoms, and  fields after harvest
Generally I use one dog at a time when grazing but do work them as pairs
and 3 or 4 at a time  now and then.
I live at a cross road
...which gives me the option to go different diretions
when grazing so dogs don't fall into a 'pattern'

A few pics of grazing in a crick bottom. Rosa was working in these pics.

I wont be going to trials often
...maybe a few times a year

but I will be working my dogs everyday
